Levelling: Remai Art Gallery of Saskatoon

The challenge: to repair and level an entire floor, allowing the installation of doors and flooring to start. The primary challenge was to be able to meet existing parameters, such as installed elevators, door frames, and glazing, without going over these with leveller. We used concrete planers to bring down spots that simply were too high to allow for a smooth and level new floor. We followed this by shot blasting the weaker surface laitance off, then pumped in from a lower floor, Ardex K10. The results … 1/16” of an inch under a 10’ straightedge.
