WINNIPEG, Canada – TCF West , one of the most successful industrial flooring companies in Canada, is pleased to announce that they have been a key contractor involved in building the world’s largest pea protein plant. The new plant is located in Portage la Prairie, Manitoba, Canada, just outside the City of Winnipeg. The construction site is 271,139m2 (67acres) and required a significant amount of flooring, including close to 60,000 square feet of Sika Purcem 22 NA polyurethane flooring installed at a 1/4″ thick.
TCF West was able to continue with the construction process, through the height of the pandemic, by ensuring that policies and procedures were designed, implemented, and followed at all times. This is one of the largest projects the company has ever been involved in and has been successfully completed on schedule, to the highest possible standards.
“As a company, TCF has the capacity to deliver outstanding results on any size of flooring project, from a very small site to a huge project such as this one,” said Michael Rosenblat. “We are proud of the fact that we were a key contractor on this project and that we successfully completed it on time, even with all of the unprecedented challenges that COVID-19 imposed upon us as a company and the construction industry in general. We are confident that this project has helped to establish TCF West as the premier industrial flooring company in Canada.”
TCF West has grown into one of Canada’s most respected flooring contractors and surface prep companies. In 2013, the company opened its first independent western office in Winnipeg, started by Toronto Concrete Floors and Michael Rosenblat. Michael purchased the western office outright in 2015 and continues to bring the innovative and creative solutions for which the company has become known.
